Chinese New Year 2011


Chinese New Year fell on Feb3 2011 and it is the time of year that I get to toss my must-have dish .....Yee Sang
This year we decided to have a rabbit as our centrepiece.
The nice, fluffy white rabbit made by shredded white radish is my hubby's handiwork.
Besides the usual ingredients of preserved ginger and other preserved stuff - I have no idea what they are, shredded carrots, radish and cucumber,bits of pomelo and toasted sesame seeds; I find that adding finely sliced limau purut leaves and nutmeg adds a whole new dimesion to the dish.
Now, pass around the chopsticks and let's lo hei!
